RCZ Performance
It chooses you...now make it Yours!

The RCZ was originally planned as a simple concept car but it received critical acclaim, capturing the imagination of the public and professionals that Peugeot decided to take the leap from concept to actual car and began production. The car's lines and style have remained very close to the original concept so as not to disappoint public opinion, however a series of changes were made to the central dual exhaust system which was replaced by a dual exhaust to the left of the rear bumper. The RCZ has double-bubble roof inspired by Zagato.

From 2010 through 2012 the RCZ has remained the same except for small exterior and interior options added. But in 2013 the RCZ got a new face lift.

Phase 1
2010 through 2012

Phase 2

The new 'face-lifted' 2013 models are the same as previous models including the choices of engines, however some additional colour schemes have been added, but that is about it. But with the new 2013 design Peugeot has also announced some additional concepts and let's hope they do come out (Hybrid4 and R).

In fact in 2014 Peugeot released the RCZ 'R' which features several items from the Peugeot Sport operation.

Unfortunately in April 2015 Peugeot announced it will end the production of the RCZ at the end of this year. This has come as a major shock to the RCZ community, but the love affair for the RCZ will continue for many years to come.

On 30 September 2015 the last RCZ rolled of the assembly line at Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria with around 75,000 RCZ's produced.

During the short time the RCZ has been out, there have been several different Special and Limited Editions released.

  • The RCZ has been on sale since May 2010 and is currently available in almost 80 countries.
  • It was officially introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009 and was initially announced as the 308 RCZ concept car at the 2007 Frankfurt show.
  • It is assembled by Magna Steyr (Oberwaltersdorf, Austria), a subsidiary of Magna International.
  • The 30,000th RCZ came off the assembly line on the 21st June, 2011.
  • The RCZ has made appearances on video games such as Forza Motorsport 3 and Forza Motorsport 4.
  • The 50,000th RCZ came off the assembly line on the 14th February, 2013. It was Red with Black Arches.
